Ian Clarke is a dedicated and experienced Senior Arboricultural Consultant at James Blake Associates. With a career rooted in arboriculture, Ian brings a wealth of hands-on tree work and consultancy expertise. Notable achievements include leading a 14-month infrastructure project in Cambridge as Arboricultural Clerk of Works and completing a large-scale survey of 3,400 trees across 390 sites in just two months.
Committed to innovation and sustainability, Ian integrates new technologies, recommends biodiversity-focused tree species, and prioritises recyclable materials. He is passionate about collaborating with clients to deliver thoughtful, impactful solutions that balance development with environmental stewardship.
Outside of work, Ian enjoys exploring the UK’s landscapes and volunteering as an event first aider with St. John Ambulance. At JBA, he’s focused on expanding the arboriculture offering and helping clients achieve cohesive, sustainable project outcomes.
