As Assistant Arboriculturist at JBA, Dennis undertakes all aspects of arboricultural consultancy work in relation to planning and development from desk studies of sites, design team meetings and AutoCAD Tree Protection Plans to supervising major ground works in the proximity of retained trees, meeting with LPA’s and clients and conducting Tree surveys to BS5837.
While the Arb team primarily focuses on providing solutions to long-term tree retention and protection, tree health and safety is also a key focus, especially relating to integrating trees woodlands and hedgerows into public open spaces. Arb forms part of a wide array of sustainable industry best practices and advice ensuring that our landscapes are maintained and improved for years to come.
Dennis’ passion for trees extends into his hobbies as he is regularly commissioned for his carvings and green wood-working which stems from a love of natural materials and his career in arboriculture and estate work in woodlands and arboretums. Regularly seen on interesting woodland walks with Lurcher, Hazel, Dennis dedicates his downtime to capturing the beauty of old and unique specimen trees through photography and drawing or going to gigs!
