Bow Trinity, London
Scope of Work: Landscape hard and softworks design, specification, setting out and construction details.
JBA worked closely with the client to provide a full design service for the roof terraces, courtyards and public realm at this central London site.
On the terraces seating was positioned to face key views and raised planters with sedum and clipped hedge frames views towards the Canary Wharf skyline. Bold bands of decking, paving and bonded gravel formed a surface pattern. The courtyards featured focus water features, a wooden pergola to provide shade and planting consisted of trees with a light canopy, blocks of grass planting and lines of clipped hedges. This architectural treatment was also reflected in the surfacing, which consisted of slate, bonded gravel, paving and grass. It was important to ensure that these spaces were attractive when viewed from above, from resident balconies and windows.
We are also working with Telford Homes on many other central London sites at Greenwich, the Isle of Dogs and at Bartlett Park.
